Architecture is an incredibly personal and site specific design process. Sean Key, owner and lead architect for SKD, has worked on some of the leading commercial spaces that have graced the skyline. From Student Housing High Rises in downtown ATL to hotels throughout the country, Sean’s commercial design has merged innovation with affordability.
In 2020 Sean Key Design established an ongoing strategic collaboration with Level Design Studio to provide wholistic Interior Design and Interior Architecture services for the Hospitality and Multi-Family Housing industry. Together, Level Design Studio and Sean Key Design create innovative, productive, and relaxing environments to invigorate and compliment the lifestyles of residents and guests. -
Licensed in Georgia and Florida, SKD creates new builds and renovations, spec houses, ADUs, and more. Our attention to the land and surroundings has allowed us to create exciting homes on many “impossible to build” properties.
SKD’s designs have been featured on Dwell, HGTV, and in the Modern Atlanta Homes Tour. -

Sean Key has lived and worked in Atlanta since 1995. Moving to Atlanta after graduating Suma Cum Laude from Louisiana State University with a professional degree in Architecture, Sean began his career working for Niles Bolton Associates designing large scale multi-family projects and in the years since has worked for multi-family and hospitality design firms such as The Preston Partnership and C+TC Design Studio. Sean has also collaborated with high-end residential designers such as Joel Kelly Design, Peter Block Architects and Kemp Hall Studio. Sean Key Design Studio, LLC was established 2020. Sean is a Registered Architect in the State of Georgia.
